No need to tip

In China you don’t need to leave tips in restaurants, hotel rooms or taxis. Tipping isn’t a Chinese custom. The natives don’t give tips, nor is anyone expected to. You can still tip if someone’s done a fantastic job, but it is definitely not required. Tour guides in China are not allowed to accept tips.
