Smiling, the start of every greeting in the Philippines

In greeting Filipino people, one has to smile and if there is a chance, doing the handshake is appreciated. Filipinos are known to be friendly, and with just a smile, a person, even if he’s a tourist or a foreigner, can gain a lot of Filipino friends. Smiles are the ‘meat’ of every greeting they can make. One can smile and if the other person, to whom the other one has smiled, smiled back, they can eventually talk like introduce selves to each other. One can even smile and appear like they are greeting other people without saying a single word.
