Tiklas Falls Resort, Gingoog City

Tiklas Falls is one of the best and most well-known tourist spot of Gingoog City located in Brgy. Lawit. It is in the Province of Misamis Oriental in Mindanao Island and is situated in the southern part of the Philippines.

Tiklas Falls was developed by the local government and is managed for tourist to visit. It is 9 km.away from the city proper and 350 meters walk to reach the actual spot. The area is surrounded by the green beauty of nature as you would love to see the wild herbs, edible plants and some ornamental flora planted in the walk-side of the road. You would feel the cold winds as soon as you get through the concrete bridge where you can see the perfect drop of the waterfalls and take photographs. There are also swimming pools for adults and children with the falls on its background and cottages for rent 50-100 pesos only.

The entrance Fee is 20 Pesos for Adult and 10 Pesos for children 12 years and below. There are no business establishments or food stalls near the area so tourists must bring their own foods and drinks. To ensure the safety and security of the tourists, no one is allowed to swim at the foot of the falls since the power waterfalls and it’s current may cause accidents and injuries. The best time to visit the resort is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are no accommodations in the area so you have to go back to the city proper if you’re planning to spend a night in Gingoog.
