Sweeping the floor

Dust and dirt may come anytime and other people can clean their place anytime they want. In the Philippines, old people always tell and most of the younger ones believe them, sweeping of the floor should not be done at night time. They believe that it is only at night when most of the families or groups of people gather inside their houses and the spirit that brings blessings visit and pours a lot at night where people gather. Sweeping the floor, they say, is prohibited because blessings may also be swept away. So, it is very usual to visit a Philippine home at night, especially when there are old people, which is messy or dusty and still wait for the morning to clean those mess and dusts.
