White Fence Café: Bringing European Country Dining in Puerto Princesa

There’s no shortage of excellent restaurants in Puerto Princesa. Most of these are Filipino native eateries that serve popular local dishes like sinigang, kare-kare, lechon kawali, crispy pata, sisig, and tamilok. Now, if you’re looking for something different, you’d want to get a taste of what White Fence Café has to offer.
A quaint café nestled within the premises of Purple Courtyard Inn, White Fence Café is set to thrill not only your taste buds but your eyes as well. The setting is a fusion of rustic European and ethnic Filipino. The interior decors are mostly French-inspired but the nipa ceiling and a few of the artworks lend a classic native vibe to the place.

Marlon Ordoñez, owner and manager of White Fence Café, says that his family wanted to offer something new to the locals and tourists of Puerto Princesa so they came up with this idea to have a European-style restaurant. But at the same time, they also wanted their restaurant to have a touch of Filipino. “My wife Ruth did the interior decoration. She got the inspiration from French countryside. For the food, we serve both international and Filipino dishes.”

White Fence’s menu offerings are diverse. You’d love the selection of Italian pizza and pasta, American pancakes, French salads, and German sausages. Of course, it also has an array of delicious Filipino dishes, the most noteworthy of which are the sisig and chicharon bulaklak. Arguably, White Fence has the best chicharon bulaklak in the city. It’s ultra crispy on the outside but tender and succulent on the inside.
With the restaurant’s classy look, people might readily assume that the prices are skyrocket high. Once you get hold of the menu, you’d be surprised that the dishes are very affordable, ranging from P150 to P300 per meal that’s good for two.

As if all these aren’t enough to fall in love with the place, White Fence also takes pride in having friendly service. From the security guard to the front desk staff to the servers, everyone’s ready to welcome you with a smile.

If you’re visiting Puerto Princesa anytime soon, make sure to include White Fence Café in your travel itinerary.
