Kampong Cham is the largest city in the nord-east of Cambodia. This does not say much as there only live 60.000 people and the city is mostly ignored by tourists. However this is exactely what makes this city authentic and many backpackers like this. Kampong Cham is located at the Mekong river and is in the middle of Phnom Penh and Kratie. It is easy to reach from all these locactions.
