Singapore Itinerary for 3 Days

So you’ve 3 whole days to spend in Singapore. That’s terrific! We can help you build the perfect itinerary for 3 days. We’ll be including some of the top attractions and some of the very best experiences in Singapore. Of course, you can go ahead and change bits and parts of our itinerary at any time. Visiting Singapore over the holiday season is an adventure in itself, so have fun! One more thing – if you plan to use the MRT system, pick up a pre-paid EZ-Link card to save money and avoid queueing up at the ticket counters.

Day 1: Morning – Jurong Bird Park

Grab some Kaya toast and hot sweet coffee at a local coffee shop and begin your day filled with energy. Head straight for the Jurong Bird Park to catch the birds bright and early. Jurong Park is one of the largest bird parks in Asia; it has one of the largest bird aviaries in the world.

Day 1: Noon– Shopping at Orchard Road

Head straight to Orchard Road and shop to your heart’s delight at Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya). Eat lunch at a food court in Ngee Ann City’s basement. Splurge on high-end boutiques such as Tiffany’s and top-tier designer labels such as Cartier, Louis Vuitton and so on. When you are done with Ngee Ann City, explore the rest of Orchard Road. Be sure to visit Bugis Street for street wear and cheap tourist souvenirs. Nearby is Haji Lane, a quaint lane full of quirky little shops.

Day 1: Evening – Sightseeing

The heat goes down by 6 P.M. or so; we encourage you to sign up for a big bus tour of Singapore. You’ll be taken to all points of interest, and will have time to get off the bus and roam around by yourself. If this is not to your taste, find the nearest MRT station, grab a map of Singapore, grab your EZ-Link pass and check out the sights you want to see.

Day 1: Night – Pub Hopping

Singapore isn’t a place where you to bed by 9 P.M. In fact, this bustling city is awake all night with night walk tours, night sightseeing and foodie tours and more. If you’re wondering what to do in Singapore at night, why not go pub hopping? Check out the bright lights of Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay and explore the countless pubs, bars and clubs here. If you don’t like any pub at these locations, just go to Mohamed Sultan Rd for more pubs. Singapore’s most famous nightclub, Zouk is a must-visit. Most of these pubs stay open till early morning so you can party the night away.

Day 2 – Morning and Afternoon – Culture Tours

Chinatown: Arrive at Chinatown and pay a visit to the Chinatown Heritage Centre, which is the best place to learn about Chinatown’s history. Check out the hawker’s stalls on Pagoda Street and pick up some silk or Chinese porcelain as souvenirs. Head straight to South Bridge Road to visit the Sri Mariamman Temple, the oldest temple in Singapore. On South Bridge Road, you’ll also find the gigantic red-coloured Chinese pavilion, which is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The roof of this temple contains a giant Tibetan-style prayer wheel and 10,000 miniature Buddha idols. Be sure to eat a hearty lunch at one of the fabulous street stalls close to the temple – a definite recommendation to you in our Singapore itinerary 3 days.

Little India: It’s time now to visit Little India. Check out Serangoon Road, Little India’s main artery. Here you’ll find malls and street stalls that sell flower garlands, Indian sarees and outfits and more. You’ll find lots of Indian jewellery here too – bangles, earrings, neckpieces and more. Pick up some souvenirs for those back home – how about a Bollywood DVD?

Check out the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, the oldest temple in Little India. During February, a grand procession starts from this temple for the Thaipusam festival. Head straight down Serangoon Road to Serangoon Plaza and shop at the Mustafa Centre, a 5-storey high mall that’s open 24 hours a day. Enjoy dinner at one of Little India’s Indian restaurants – we commend the Banana Leaf Apolo or Muthu’s.

Day 2: Evening: Sentosa

After your culture tour, you need some light fun. Take the cable car from Faber’s Peak to Sentosa Island. This manmade island has everything you need – lovely beaches, plenty of entertainment and tons of eateries. There’s even a manmade rainforest, a butterfly garden and more. Visit Universal Studios which is also in Sentosa. Enjoy thrilling immersive rides, rollercoasters and incredible fun attractions for the whole family. Your 3 days Singapore itinerary will be incomplete without a visit to Sentosa.

Day 3: Early Morning – Singapore Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens opens very early and you’ll find people walking there as early as dawn. Join them and explore the immense gardens and enjoy the variety of flowering plants there. There’s an Ethnobotany Garden, a Rainforest Garden, a Ginger Garden, the National Orchid Garden and much more to admire at Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Day 3: Noon – Singapore Zoo

The Singapore Zoo offers an incredibly immersive experience that’s one of a kind in the world. You’ll get to see rare white tigers, pygmy hippos, and even naked mole rats up close in this 26-hectare wildlife park. The zoo has more than 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles, housed in 11 zones, designed to imitate the several global wildlife habitats. If you want to see kangaroos and wallabies, head to the Australasia exhibit, and if you want to see the African Rhino, head to the Africa zone.

Day 3: Evening – Gardens by the Bay

The Gardens by the Bay is a remarkable amalgamation of nature and technology. Pay especial attention to the supertrees, which are made out of metal and wood and nature. These supertrees are connected to each other via a skywalk, from where you can enjoy a fabulous view of the park. In the evening, a million lights go up in the supertrees and in the beautiful dome-shaped greenhouses. It’s a sight to see and admire.

Day 3: Singapore Night Safari

Don’t waste your last few hours in Singapore. Sign up for a night safari at the Singapore Zoo’s rainforest extension. You’ll get to enjoy watching nocturnal creatures in their own habitats. You can use the walking trails or safari via trams into the rainforest. The safari ends in the early hours, culminating in a breakfast with Orangutans. Yes, you have to be there! We heartily recommend the Singapore Night Safari to all travellers, so hurry up and get your visa Singapore right now!

Conclusion

As you can see, Singapore is chock-full of attractions and entertaining activities. We wish you had more than 3 days to spend in this fabulous city; we could have added so many more items to your itinerary. Never mind, there’s always the next time. Have fun!
