Everyone living in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, China or Japan may participate. We are looking for local talented writers to share their country secrets to our Daily Roar readers.
So how does it work? And what’s in it for you as a participant?
By entering thedailyroar.com writing competition, you can:
- Get published. Your writing will be published on thedailyroar.com with hundreds of daily visitors from all over the world!

What kind of content are we looking for?
Anything related to your country could be a possible subject for an article on thedailyroar.com
Maybe you have a famous local dish, or a recipe for a typical dish that only exists in your country. Or maybe there is a great travel hotspot that you want others to know about. You can also write a review about a local resort, hotel, theme park or famous restaurant. Or maybe you are just more interested to share your countries culture and lifestyle.
All right are you ready? Then this is what you need to do to stand a chance to win a great prize:
Step 1 : Write an article that contains at least 1 picture (original and taken by you) about the subject and consists of around 300 to 400 words. The article must be in proper English! (we will check for spelling/grammar flaws so don’t worry) The subject of the article must be related to your own country like famous local food/dishes, cultural events, lifestyle, travelling/must visit places etc. (for examples go to www.thedailyroar.com)
Step 2 : When you’re done send your article together with the pictures (please don’t add the pictures in a word file) to: info@thedailyroar.com together with your name, e-mail and country location. After that we will check the article and place it on www.thedailyroar.com
Step 3 : After your article appears on www.thedailyroar.com the visitors of the Daily Roar will decide who is the winner. Try to get as many likes, shares and comments as possible. The article with the most feedback from the visitors (shares, likes, comments) will win the great amount of $130! (RM 400, € 100, 1.2 million rupiah) please convert to your local money rate if yours is not there.
Terms and conditions of this competition:
-A minimum of 10 competitors/articles is needed. If less then 10 the first prize will be saved for the next competition and added to its prize money
-When sending the article and pictures to thedailyroar.com you automatically agree to our copywrite conditions which allow us to put thedailyroar.com mark in the picture on our website. The Daily Roar will have full rights for commercial usage of the content and images.
-The article and images need to be unique and cannot be copied or stolen from other blogs or websites. Should this be the case then the contestant will be removed from the competition and reported for plagiarism.
-This competition will last one month, starting from the day it will be published online.
-A contestant is allowed to send more then 1 article for this competition.
